This is the truth! We need to stop the suffering. I am not vegan but will make every effort to change and do my part.
Hello everyone! We are back from Florida and finally settled back in. Our oldest daughter started school the day after we got back so we have been busy!
I wanted to share with you all how I’ve finally started to get a handle on my acne. I’ve written about this acne mess before and shared with you an amazing cruelty free face wash I use every day. My breakouts were going away but I was still having some trouble. When we first arrived in Florida my break out was pretty bad. I’m blaming it on the stress of driving 14 hours with 2 kids, and that truck stop burger I was brave enough to eat! I didn’t really want to leave our beautiful condo but needed something extra. So I opened the fridge and grabbed the lemon juice. I have never tried lemon juice but O…M…G!! I washed my face, applied the lemon juice as a toner, let that dry then moisturized. The next morning I could already see results! Those nasty pimples were drying up, my skin was looking brighter, and after doing it for almost 2 weeks straight a big scar I had from acne is starting to fade! Why did I wait so long to try this? The only down side is it will burn the acne a little but most toners do that any ways. It’s fast, inexpensive, and you are staying cruelty free! What more could you ask for? I don’t have a picture to go along with this post so I’ll just leave you with this guy we saw at the zoo…enjoy:)
The one thing my children request the most for dinner is spaghetti casserole. They go crazy for it! It’s super easy, but I’m not gonna lie…not the best thing for a diet. I’m sure you can’t play around with the ingredients and make a healthier version. I did use all low fat ingredients and wheat pasta.
1 pound of ground beef or turkey
1 Box of spaghetti noodles
8oz Cream cheese
8oz Sour Cream
1 Large can of spaghetti sauce
Shredded cheese for topping (I use fiesta blend)
Preheat oven to 375
Brown meat and cook spaghetti then drain
Mix together 8oz of cream cheese and 8oz Sour cream
In baking dish (I use an 8inch round) place a layer of spaghetti noodles then pour some of your sauce on top just enough to coat the bottom and noodles
Sprinkle a layer of meat
Then a layer of sour cream and cream cheese mixture
Repeat (mine usually has 2 layers of each)
You want your top layer to be your last bit of noodles then pour remaining sauce on top, you’ll want quite a bit on top to keep it moist.
Top with cheese
Bake at 375 for about 35-40 minutes
This is such an easy dish to make and I guarantee everyone in your family will love it!
Finally after 10 days of gloom the sun came out!! I was so happy to wake up to sunshine! Of course I can’t pass up the chance to head to the barn to see my horse Chevy :). We rescued him back in April and he has come a long way. He still needs to gain a little more weight and work on his manners but he’s a great boy. Our 2 year old is just as horse crazy as I am and she loves to ride her “Chevy boy”, with my assistance of course.
My wardrobe has needed some serious updating, especially my fall/winter wardrobe. Today I passed up on a date with my hubs to go shopping. Yes I know I’m an awful wife!! He was ok with it so I was too lol. It’s not often that I get to go out and shop just for myself. Sure I pick up a couple things here and there, but to actually go for the purpose of getting me clothes is very rare. But I guess that’s what happens when you become a mommy. Where did I go? Target of course! If you are thinking about picking up some cute clothes they have a pretty good sale going on right now 🙂 everything I bought was on clearance for amazing prices. I can’t wait to hang out in that big pink sweater with my boots my hubs bought me yesterday. For some reason the pants look like a completely different color, they are actually an army green (and I love the studs on the pockets!!!) and of course I got some black leggings that were only 5 bucks! P.s I look a little crazy in these pics lol
I was shocked when I saw e.l.f at my local Walgreens! For those of you that don’t know about e.l.f products: it is an insanely cheap but very good quality makeup. I’ve found it at store like T.j Maxx, Ross, and Target. I’m not sure if all Walgreens are selling these but at mine they have the Disney villains collection. They have the look books, nail polish, and false eye lashes. I picked up the “Cruella De Vil” book because they are neutrals that I wear a lot. It comes with 6 eye shadows, mascara, eye primer, eyeliner pencil, liquid eye liner, lip gloss and an eyeshadow brush. All for $9.99!!! I’ll post a tutorial very soon using some of my favorite “cheap” makeup that anyone on any budget can run out and grab. Till then keep a look out and feel free to share with me some of your budget friendly beauty finds 🙂
Ok I’ll admit it, I’m a Bath and Body Works junkie! I love just about everything in that place and I’ve spent a small fortune in there. For the past 3 years I’ve used nothing but their body washes. Thanks to my step dad for sending me a box full of different washes and lotions, and their amazing sales 🙂 About a month ago I ran out. It was a sad day for me, lol. We recently moved away from Jacksonville ( the only place with a mall near me) so I really don’t go there unless I absolutely need to, being as I can’t stand that place. When I went to Walmart I decided “it’s time to stop being a BBW snob and just get something here.” I spent more time In their body wash isle than I have in my whole life. I think I picked up every brand of body wash, smelled it, read the labels and put it back about 5 times! Nothing could compare to the wonderful smells at BBW 😦 Then I saw Herbal Essence has come out with a new line of body wash! I grabbed one and was on my way. It turns out I’m very pleased with my purchase. They lather up just as good as BBW, the smell is amazing, it actually stays on your skin hours after your shower, and doesn’t dry out your skin. This is my new go to body wash 🙂
